Hey there, everybody. 오랜만이에요 (long time no see)
In the minute (read: 6 months) I’ve been away, I have flown to Korea to see my beloved VANNER perform three concerts (where I also worked as the VVS VANNER Brasil correspondent & almost physically broke myself), went storm chasing and watched two tornadoes touch down at the same time (a storm chasing bucket list item!), saw the Aurora Borealis in the Badlands (a lifetime bucket list item since before it was called a bucket list), attended a wedding in Vermont, and had lunch in Canada. I also went to a BDU concert in Atlanta where I high-fived Bitsaeon and was able to tell Jay Chang exactly how brilliant his song “I’d do anything” is on a writing level…and then later the group called me out from the stage and thanked me for handing out fan banners to the audience while in line. 😱
I also heavily revised my Korea Book 1 manuscript (having now actually BEEN to Korea) and started working on the Woodcutter Sisters. Turns out it’s good that I no longer write chronologically because I seem to be currently writing FOUR BOOKS AT ONCE. It’s a massive head trip, let me tell you. But you are going to LOVE them.
Now I’m off again, this time to a wedding in NC, another concert in Atlanta (DKB), and two separate mini writing retreats here in the South. Since I can’t afford (money or time) to head north this year (I miss you, NY & VT!) I am so very glad I have this opportunity to see friends and visit autumn somewhere that’s not Florida.
But first I needed to send this Proof of Life to all of YOU, so that you know I’m still working on those reprints, writing the rest of this series…and also posting all over the internet. (I learn well from my Kpop friends!) I vow to keep in touch more regularly from here on out.
