Welcome back to another #FriendlyFriday, where I tell you about my fabulous friends and the brilliant things they do!
Today's friend is no stranger to #FriendlyFriday, having been featured both for her Stranger Things novel, Suspicious Minds, AND her adult rom-com, Not Your Average Hot Guy, please welcome back Gwenda Bond!
We're featuring Gwenda today for two reasons, the first (of course) being that she has a brand new book out this week! And secondly, Gwenda is also one of the founders of the Lexington Writers Room, a nonprofit that offers local, active writers (and visitors) affordable, collaborative, and supportive workspaces in Lexington, Kentucky so they can produce more work and expand their readerships and commercial successes.
However, the building that the Lexington Writers Room was housed in suffered a massive fire at the end of March. It was a total loss. If you want to read more about it, I highly recommend reading Gwenda's newsletter post here. And while they are down for now, they are not out. Fundraising efforts have already begun to help them find a new space and continue their mission to support Kentucky writers. If you can afford to, please help them out by donating or purchasing their apparel. If you can't afford to donate, that's OK! We'd appreciate it if you could even just share their story and donation link,
Now, on to the happier news at hand, Gwenda's new book! Are you ready to hear more about The Date From Hell?
In this hilarious, romantic sequel to Not Your Average Hot Guy, Callie and Luke’s date is thwarted when Lucifer gives them three days to redeem a soul.
After saving the world and stopping the apocalypse, Callie and Luke are looking forward to a quiet, romantic weekend together. When you’re human and dating the Prince of Hell, quiet moments are hard to come by. But their romantic weekend in Hell takes a turn when Lucifer tasks Callie and Luke with chasing a wayward soul around the world. If they can prove it’s possible to redeem a soul, Lucifer will allow the two of them to make some changes in Hell.
But this wayward soul, Sean, doesn’t have any interest in being redeemed. Instead, now that he’s back on Earth, he’s decided to take a leaf out of Callie and Luke’s book and wants to find the Holy Grail. Now Callie, Luke, their friends—and enemies—must race Sean around the globe on a Grail quest and bring peace between Heaven and Hell before they can finally (maybe) get around to that date.
In The Date from Hell, the sequel to Not Your Average Hot Guy, New York Times bestselling author Gwenda Bond brings the journey of Callie, Luke, and their friends to a wonderful close. This is another laugh out loud, action packed romantic adventure you won’t want to miss.
So if you read and loved Not Your Average Hot Guy, do not miss the sequel in this fun and heartfelt duology! Purchase you copy here and then make sure to head over the Gwenda's website to see her backlist titles, she truly does have something for everyone!
