Welcome back to another #FriendlyFriday, where I tell you about my fabulous friends and the brilliant things they are up to!
Hi everyone, Princess Sarah her today and I am thrilled to get to introduce you to today's #FriendlyFriday author, Jana Oliver! Jana has been a friend of mine and Alethea's for almost a decade each, and is honestly one of my favorite humans AND authors. I first met Jana at the Romantic Times Convention in Chicago in 2011 at the huge book signing they had every year. You see, I had just DEVOURED The Demon Trapper's Daughter, the first in Jana's Demon Trapper series, on the plane and had NO IDEA she would be at the convention. It was my first RT, and I was overwhelmed by the amount of authors, books, and people in one ballroom, but as I wandered beforehand I stumbled upon a table with Jana's name on it. No one was sitting at the table so I waited patiently for the author to return. Suddenly a dark-haired woman in the most amazing red velvet coat rose up from below the table and started setting out more books. She looked at me and smiled and I proceeded to scream I FUCKING LOVE YOU in her face. Yes, that's right, I went FULL FANGIRL. And Jana just smiled, hugged me, and signed book 2 in the series for me. I was in heaven and ran back to Rachel beaming, crawled under her table, and spent the rest of the signing reading under Rachel's table. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Jana is a fellow Iowan who, after a stint in Atlanta, now calls a mountain in Portugal home. She recently re-released her Demon Trapper series and is writing new stories in that world, with book 8 coming December 7th! The first book in the series is Forsaken and was formerly published as The Demon Trapper's Daughter.
Are you ready to hear more about it?
Riley Blackthorne has one goal in life—to be a demon trapper just like her legendary father. With Atlanta overrun with Lucifer’s Hellspawn, this shouldn’t be difficult.
But not everyone wants this city’s first female trapper to succeed. The guys in the local Guild are giving her a ton of grief, and even her dad’s trapping buddy, Denver Beck, thinks she’s picked the wrong profession.
Riley just needs is a chance to prove herself. Which is exactly what Hell is counting on.
This is seriously one of my favorite series, action-packed, full of snark, and a cranky Scottishman with a penchant for a good whiskey. I highly recommend picking up the first book, you won't regret it! And if you love the Demon Trapper series, check out Jana's backlist titles, including her stand-alone titles Briar Rose and Dead Easy. (Yes, a lot of Jana's works are on my favorites list, I'm an absolute fangirl after all lol)
